Air conditioning of mobile phone equipment rooms

STULZ_Compact-Air_03_9e9367bc46Larger base stations and central exchanges for mobile phone networks pool their transmission technology in a container erected for this purpose, or a fixed shelter.

The transmission equipment inside converts almost all of the electrical energy into heat. But if it gets too hot in the equipment room, the sensitive transmission equipment can malfunction and shut down.

Air-conditioning systems from the Telecom line keep the operating temperature at a safe level. They are exceptionally compact, and also make use of cool outside air to provide cost-effective free cooling.

The air-conditioning system can be installed inside or outside the container or shelter, depending on the space available. External installation leaves more room for the equipment. On the other hand, internally fitted air-conditioning systems are protected from vandalism and extreme weather conditions.
